Almost 7 Months has passed. Haven’t write anything here. Where I am? Well, I was kinda lazy to post anything with regards to myself or any particular topic. But this past months or days it was a little interesting.

I had my first registration at the COMELEC. This coming 2010 will be my fist time to vote and participate in any National and local elections. I think it’s time to heard my voice as a citizen of this country. Sometimes I have a bad habit, if not almost deadline I will not work for it. That my case. Glad that my brother didn’t register yet. So 2 days before the deadline, my brother went to the COMELEC office as early as 3AM to fall in line for the priority number. At around 7AM he got the priority numbers, him 191 and me 192. Think about it.. we’re far. At around 11AM he called me to went to the COMELEC to pass my application form and have my thumbmark too. Around 11:30AM I passed my application form, then waited for more than 3hours to be called. Thank God at about 3PM, the called me and my brother for the registration. That was it, inorder to be registered you need to spent atleast 12 hours. My brother said, some people even sleep outside the COMELEC offices inorder to be early. WOW! this is how the Filipino way works.

First week of October I went to Kidapawan City to process all my school papers for Teacher’s Board Exam. Whew! Another trouble! They can’t release my papers unless I will take additional 9 Units for a refresher since I was belong to the old curriculum. My gosh! I thought I was done. We ll, I decided to take this refresher so that I can file my application for teacher’s board this coming April. Needs to have review too.

This past months my Uncle ventured to his new hobby, being a coffee lover. I mean not just an ordinary coffee but a great coffee. Some he really ordered it from US and shipped here in Davao City. Uncle was the one who roast and grind the coffee beans. (I just drink only hahaha)

As a typical Filipina, I’m contented having a cup of instant coffee a day. If I want to have a different coffee I can go to nearby coffee shop if I want (If I do have money too:) ). Anyway, since Uncle is a coffee lover nowadays, he has like 7 frenchpress in his office (like 3 big frenchpress can make up to 3 cups and 4 small frechpress that is good for a single cup).

When Uncle had his big frenchpress, me and Tita Feyma (his wife) were always had a cup of coffee. Of course I grab it everytime Uncle will asked me if I want coffee. Why? It simply because the coffee taste so different from our instant coffee. Sometimes I can drink like 3 to 4 cups a day. And one thing also, I am cutting the ratio of my sugar. At first I like 1 cup plus 2 teaspoons of sugar, lately I cut it into 1 and 1/2 teaspoon. Maybe on the next few days I can cut it into 1 teaspoon per cup, until it will purely black coffee. Coffee lover said that you can taste the coffee better if it is purely black. Well, I’m looking forward to that.

Though you are near, yet you’re so far.

Ang mga tao naga differ jud in many ways. Eventhough, gi treat nimo ug maayo until you showed them that they are almost part of the family, ikaw gihapon ang dautan. These past few days na burned out jud mi sa among labandera. Gi-treat siya sa akong tita the way sa pag treat sa amoa. She used to do the laundry ug sa pag iron sa mga clothes namo tanan. Hayahay gani siya kay ang nga bed sheets gina pa laundry man so focus jud siya sa mga uniforms ug daily dirty clothes namo. Unya dili man tantong hugaw kay wa man mi nagbasak ug nagdaro. At first, everything went okay. Ingon siya, kailangan motabang siya kay maulaw daw siya nga nagakaon pa daw siya then dinhi nagatulog, maligo free of charge.

She used to stay here at the house from Thursday to Monday. Wala paman mi katabang that time.Until time came that tita decided to have an stay-in helper kay lisod pud sa amo part during the days nga wala siya. Last january my Aunt brought a helper here at the house. We don’t know what she told and after a days the new helper decided to quit. We understand her kay bata pa man pud. So we let go of her. Tita decided to hire somebody para i-test namo kung okay mag-clean kay naa lagi sila friend nga mag stay dinhi sa Davao then gusto ug stay-out nga manlimpyo. We don’t know na treaten diay siya. Wala diay siya nakasabot sa gi-ingon ni tita.

After 2 weeks, again nagdala ug bag-o nga helper ako Auntie. Na relieve me kay atleast dili nami magkara kara during lunch time ug inig kagabii. Wala namo siya pahibal-a for it’s not her business then dili man siya ang amo. Okay, my Aunt arrived here at the house with our new helper, she was a bit shocked. Kunbaga, she wasn’t prepared. After talking to our new helper, she secretly talked to my Aunt. Ngano wala daw siya ingna nga nagdala ug bag-o nga helper. Ako Auntie nakurat sa iyaha. SO wala siya gi mind.  After a day, gi talk niya amo new helper nga dili daw magsalig sa bisan kinsa sa iyaha lang daw. Knowing nga dugay na niya mi nakauban dinhi sa balay, naminaw amo new helper sa iya. Always niya gina ingon observed daw specially sa amoa. Then, amo new helper said, okay. Everytime mouli siya, inig balik niya sa house gina interrogate jud niya amo new helper. Tubagon pud niya nga okay ra daw then maayo man mi. Wala daw niya nakita ang mga gipang-ingon sa amo labandera against sa amoa. Which is true.  Days and weeks has been passed, wala namo nahibal-an nga ginalason niya ang mind sa amo new helper until the day came.

Sad to say kahawaon na diay siya kay naka kwarta na siya. Ngano wala man siya meprangka sa amoa? Dili man gud me mamogos ug tawo nga dili na gusto sa amoa. Ang makalagot pa jud ginahimuan ko niya ug istorya nga gipang kick-out naku ako mga cousins. Wa siya maulaw nagpataka ug istorya!

Sa iya pagka SCAMMERS gina himuan mi niya storya para ma divert sa amoa ang mga attention then mo focus siya sa iya mga hidden business. Wa man unta mi nanghilabot sa iya mga laki or nangilog ana nila unya naga pangayo siya ug kwarta, pero nalagot lang jud ko ngano iyaha pami gihilabtan.

Lisod jud diay ang mga tawo nga naga daku sa palengke kay palenkera jud ug batasan. Kung mopatol ta, mahimong kita walay grado. Ambot, lisod sakyan ila batasan.

It’s known for everybody the Great Recession that the US has been suffering. Of course, here in the Philippines we already experience it. I don’t know what our government has been doing or are they preparing some alternatives for the coming days or years.

As I’ve been surfing the net lately, I’ve read lots of big companies planning to shut down there operation here in the Philippines. Of course, what we will expect, more people will be lay off from their work. Another headache. But if you will read or hear the response of the some government leader they just simply said, they’re working to provide job for those who will be jobless, but the question is, HOW? We are simply relying on the some big companies to provide us a job.

If you can see, the US government really work hard how to provide job for their people. Compared to our leader here, the just keep on investigating all the scam that this present government has been doing. It’s understandable but no matter how deep they will go, the involved on that scam will not point who are their mastermind. It’s so obvious, it’s so irritating, frustrating.

Like the other day, I read from INQUIRER.net in their editorial section entitled ”Why GMA is not Obama”. It’s embarrassing, this government doesn’t show a good example for the future generation, instead giving an idea how to corrupt. When it comes to our senators and representatives, what’s new with them? Same faces every election.

To my fellow Filipinos, when can we provide a competitive, deserving leader?

Well, this gonna be my first article for 2009. It’s all about how enjoyable we spent the Christmas and New Year.

Last Christmas eve, we open our presents that was given by Uncle Bob and Tita Feyma. Each of us has 5 gifts. We received the stuff that we like to have. We prepared like a typical Filipino style. We were supposed to stay until midnight and ate our Noche Buena but everybody’s tired so others stay late others go to bed early including me. When I got up on Christmas day, i wasn’t feeling good due to too much hot on the morning of December 24 and it rained on the afternoon. I was sick for how many days, until now I still have cough and colds.

But the sickness wasn’t the hindranced on our New years celebration. This was the enjoable, so much fun New year we have ever celebrated. My other Uncle and Aunt who lived in GenSan together with thier kids spent the New Year with us. So it was a joint family. We played basketball, Maria went to town, candy hunting and even guessing game. We ate our lunch late like around 3 in the afternoon. We cooked binignit, we had roasted turkey, stuffings, beans, mashed potato. We also buy cooked sweet rice, leche plan, suman and lots of fruits. So all in all on New Years day we really had FUN.

G : “I feel really bad about this, but I don’t know what ‘judo wan sahn toes’ means.”

RS : “Toes! toes!…Why jew don juan toes? Ow bow Anglish moppin we bodder?”

G : “English muffin!! I’ve got it! You were saying ‘Toast.’ Fine. Yes, an English muffin will be fine.”

RS : “We bodder?”

G : “No…just put the bodder on the side.”

RS : “Wad! ?”

G : “I mean butter…just put it on the side.”

RS : “Copy?”

G : “Excuse me?”

RS : “Copy…tea…meel?”

G : “Yes. Coffee, please, and that’s all.”

RS : “One Minnie. Scramah egg, crease baykem, Anglish moppin we bodder on sigh and copy…. rye??”

G : “Whatever you say.”

RS : “Tenjewberrymuds.”

G : “You’re very welcome.”

Yesterday was one of the happiest days of my mom. Actually, this post is supposed to be published yesterday but for some reason I didn’t write anything about her.

Well, to say something about my mom, she is so wonderful. Even though, she is strict, we respect her well. If its not because of her, I don’t know where I am now. I couldn’t forget the things that she has done to me specially those times that I was really in trouble and I was so down.

To you Mom, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, I wish you all the best that life can give.

This past few days, my cousin from General Santos City paid a visit us here in Davao together with her fiancée’. They stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days to talked to our Uncle who will be their Ninong on their upcoming wedding. Originally they’re planned was only 1 day, but because of us, they stayed more days. My explanation was simply I can’t be there on the big day so why not hangout with us for the last remaining single days.

This cousin of mine, (here name is Sweet while her fiancée is Heart) we’re not really closed. She’s a year younger than me. There were lots of time, when I pasT by on Aunt Feyma and Uncle Bob’s wedding photo, I laugh at myself. I couldn’t imagine 18 years ago, we were one of the flower girls of the wedding and now Uncle Bob is one of their Ninong. Ha hay.. time flies so fast.

Of all the 5 flower girls during those wedding (we are all cousins by the way), only me and the elder sister of Sweet are single, although  Love (Sweet sister’s name) had a boyfriend already. The other one had a baby already and the other one is a month away before she will give birth. So imagine, I am the only one left. But actually, i’m not competing with them. There are a lot of things to be considered, though.

So the night before our cousin leaving, we went to the park, chatting and taking picture. I also took  a video of the place, it’s quite pretty good. Maybe I will upload it in the next couple of days.

As I write this article, it’s 5 days left before the big day. Just wanna say ‘CONGRATULATIONS and BEST WISHES’
