the lady behind
So this is who I am, And this is all I know, And I must choose to live, For all that I can give.

The dilemma

I had a good conversation today with my sister and co-worker. We tackle about settling down. I told them what if I will got married and me and my husband to be would just earn below 10k per month?

We analyze everything, what will be the things that we need to prioritize. First, the house. Of course I have to moved out from where I live now. All I know the cheapest boarding house today ranging from 1k to 1′500 per month, take note water and electricity are excluded.

Secondly, our daily needs (e.g. rice, food and some grocery). We assume that the cheapest kilo of rice at this time will be P40 So we settle on the side dish, how about the main course? I threw a joke that we will just consume sardines every meal, but I think a better way, if there’s a small vacant lot we will plant some veges or even in a pot. I also insisted that well, if my hubby to be has a day off he would better sell veges in the wet market for extra income or better yet if both of us has same day off go home to the farm. There’s a lot of resources there.

Third, our daily expenses for fare if we are far from our work place. The minimum fare today is P7.00 per 4 kilometers (I based this in PUJ). Gosh! How about if we need to double ride? Fourth, our electricity and water bill. We cannot leave without this of course. Lastly, if I can have my own kid/s. How can I budget this little amount?

Today and future life’s will be miserable. Everything is so expensive. But if you are born with silver spoon on your mouth, you can handle it.
